Wood Floor Restoration

Restore. Revive. Impress.

Wood flooring is a beautiful addition to any interior, but to maintain its appearance, it is essential that correct maintenance is introduced following installation. Like a carpet, once the appearance of wood starts to look worn, then it is usually too late for normal maintenance procedures to be applied and a full restoration involving sanding and reapplication of the protective coating is required.

At MDS, we offer expert wood floor restoration services tailored specifically for commercial and B2B clients. Whether you're managing a corporate office, retail space, or hospitality venue, we bring tired wood floors back to life - enhancing your space’s appearance, safety, and value.

We use the latest rotary sanding machinery attached to high-filtration vacuums, ensuring an almost dust-free environment and allowing for same-day use in most cases. Depending on whether a high gloss, textured, or matt finish is required, we can discuss the best protective coating to be applied.

Preparation & Sanding

One of the most critical steps in restoration is sanding. This involves using a series of progressively finer sandpaper to remove the old finish and surface imperfections. Sanding helps to level the floor and reveal the fresh wood underneath. It is a delicate process that requires skill to avoid over-sanding, which can thin the wood excessively.

Repair & Refinishing

There are various options for finishes, including polyurethane, oil-based, and water-based finishes. Each type offers different benefits in terms of durability, appearance, and maintenance. The finish helps to protect the wood from future damage and wear, ensuring that the restored floor remains beautiful for years to come.
